In December 2023, the World Bank approved additional financing under RETRAP to support an 85 km all-weather road link from the Côte d’Ivoire border through Toe Town to Zwedru.
The 45 km Roberts International Airport–ELWA highway expansion project was launched during the administration, with groundbreaking in 2020 and asphalt pavement reported underway by the Ministry of Public Works in June 2023.
Liberia and the World Bank signed a US$40 million Urban Resilience Project in 2022 to improve flood resilience, urban infrastructure and planning capacity.
