Completion and Dedication of the Japan Freeway

JICA records that the road was upgraded from two lanes to four lanes through Japanese grant assistance and completed in July 2021. The project originated in post-war infrastructure planning and road works that began in 2013, before the Weah administration. President Weah attended the 26 July 2021 completion ceremony. The record therefore credits the administration with presiding over completion and dedication while recognising the project's earlier origin and Japan's financing and implementation support.
