Programme: Revenue Sharing Law

President Weah submitted the Revenue Sharing Bill to the Legislature in November 2021. The House concurred with the Senate in July 2022, and the measure was subsequently signed into law. UNDP described the reform as an important step toward fiscal decentralisation, allowing sub-national structures to retain and receive portions of revenues for local development and service delivery. Later implementation required regulations and institutional capacity, so this entry records the legal reform rather than claiming full fiscal decentralisation was completed during the term.
