Programme: IMF Extended Credit Facility Programme

In its 2022 Article IV review, the IMF said Liberia's economy rebounded after the COVID-19 contraction and that prudent monetary and fiscal policies helped consolidate price-stability gains. The IMF also noted delays in structural reforms and warned that global commodity shocks were pushing inflation higher again in 2022. This record therefore describes the documented 2021 stabilisation period rather than claiming uninterrupted macroeconomic improvement throughout the presidency.
